ECM AMAGNO on strong cloud growth path

ECM AMAGNO on strong cloud growth path

Oldenburg, June 6, 2020 – Enterprise Content Management (ECM) and Digital Workplace provider AMAGNO has increased its cloud revenues by 156 percent since 2018 and has been steadily multiplying document volumes and user numbers in the cloud ever since. Since 2010 AMAGNO is one of the first German providers of a complete ECM solution in the cloud. The platform has now been switched to Microsoft Azure in Germany.

The founder and CEO of AMAGNO GmbH & Co KG, Jens Büscher, fondly remembers the time when everything started and developed steadily:

“I founded the company in 2010 with the goal of an international cloud company for enterprise content management. While until 2018 most customer decisions were made in favor of the on-premise version of our software, this changed dramatically from 2018 onwards: over 50 percent of customers have since opted for the cloud. In the same year, this generated a 156 percent increase in cloud revenue compared to the previous year.”

The cloud is proving particularly popular among SMEs, as the use of cloud solutions eliminates the need to maintain their own servers and high initial investments. In 2019, 58 percent of SMEs will already be in the cloud. In 2017 the figure was 49 percent and the trend is rising. This is the result of the representative study “Digital Office in Medium-sized Businesses 2019” by Bitkom Research. The corona crisis is again accelerating this trend significantly. The rapid operational readiness of an ECM software enables companies to set themselves up digitally within the shortest possible time and thus to be able to act at any time and from anywhere.

“The multiplication of data and user volumes in our cloud is great, but also challenging. We were therefore looking for a platform that would meet the security and scaling needs of the next decade and found it in Microsoft Azure,” explains Büscher.

AMAGNO in the Microsoft Azure

Since May 2020, the Oldenburg software company AMAGNO has been using the Microsoft Azure platform. The data is stored securely and with multiple encryption in the new German Microsoft data centers in Frankfurt and Berlin. AMAGNO thus offers its now more than 25,000 users in the AMAGNO Business Cloud a future-proof, highly secure and powerful platform and, with the future use of Azure Cognitive Services, paves the way for new crowd strategies for maximum automation in the handling of documents.

Oliver Scheffert, Partner Lead – ISV & Innovation/Transformation Microsoft Deutschland GmbH sees the cloud investment as the future of tomorrow:

“Digital change is gaining momentum in all industries worldwide. The need for innovative cloud solutions has never been greater than today. We are therefore all the more pleased that partners like AMAGNO are working with us and supporting us with their high-quality offerings to successfully advance the transformation for our customers”.

“The solutions are operated on our current infrastructures, such as those in the new German data centers, and are also based on state-of-the-art technology. A further highlight of the partnership is that it demonstrates how we are able to develop and establish forward-looking business models together through the strongest partner network in the IT industry – i.e. the interaction with other Microsoft partners – always with a close eye on the future requirements of our customers,” continues Scheffert.

Integrated Solution Store for ready-made solutions is coming

AMAGNO is currently concentrating on its ECM cloud to provide its AMAGNO Solution Store, which will be launched in summer 2020. Via the Solution Store, users, partners and customers will in future have the opportunity to share their solution ideas with other AMAGNO cloud users free of charge. AMAGNO will also provide ready-to-use solutions for various application areas, such as invoice processing, contract management or digital personnel files, there and make them available free of charge. Users can then adopt them and adapt them individually to the needs of their company. The interface partners for connections to Salesforce, SAP, Navision and other solutions will also benefit from the provision of preconfigured solutions.

The start in the AMAGNO Business Cloud is free of charge without functional restrictions.
