Chat with documents: Amagno.AI turns ECM into a dialog partner
A colleague who knows every document in the company by heart and always has time to answer all questions – who wouldn’t want one on their team? With Amagno CECM, the first Conversational ECM, just such a “colleague” is coming to the office: the integrated AI Amagno.AI enables chat with contracts, invoices, regulations and more.
Frankfurt (M), October 30, 2024. ECM provider Amagno today presented at Amagno o.Connect in Frankfurt, the first Conversational Enterprise Content Management (CECM) was presented: the proven Amagno ECM is transformed into Amagno CECM by the AI extension Amagno.AI. This enables employees to converse with company documents via chat.
Amagno.AI is scheduled to be generally available as an additional feature in version 7.1 of Amagno ECM on November 11, 2024. Customers who activate the additional feature will automatically convert their Amagno ECM to Amagno Conversational ECM. They benefit from three sub-functions on which the Amagno CECM initially focuses:
- The Amagno.AI Chat enables conversations with CECM documents.
- The Amagno.AI Autopilot automates the structured recognition of documents and their data.
- The Amagno.AI Automate allows you to store your own prompts to individually enrich company data with internal or external information.
Instead of search results in the form of individual files, the Amagno CECM provides answers and context. It allows employees to converse with their company’s documents in natural language. The conversation is similar to a chat with a colleague – except that this “colleague” knows every company document inside out, has access to a wealth of knowledge and also knows exactly what access rights the person asking the questions has.
The Amagno CECM therefore provides essential support for employees in their daily work. For example, the chat can be used to quickly find out
- how new versions of contracts differ from older ones,
- whether all items on an order have been delivered,
- what steps to take in the event of a technical emergency,
- how to summarize a customer case chronologically
- or how employees should proceed when they are on sick leave.
- or how employees should proceed when they are on sick leave.
“While traditional ECMs focus on the structured management and storage of corporate content, Amagno Conversational ECM extends this concept by integrating generative AI and natural language,” says Jens Büscher, founder and CEO of Amagno. “This integration makes accessing and managing content much more user-friendly and efficient.”
With traditional ECM systems, users need to know how to search for content. Amagno CECM eliminates the need to navigate folder structures, metadata filters or long lists of full-text search results. Thanks to the natural language interface, users simply type a question to get answers. This is because the Amagno CECM understands the context of many documents – even without classification. This enables it to deliver cross-document contextual information, proactively summarize and compare content, translate content and answer complex queries. All this works in almost any language.
In the Amagno Business Cloud in Microsoft Azure in Germany
The Amagno CECM is integrated into the Amagno Business Cloud. This is hosted in Microsoft Azure in Germany. User data is protected by high security standards and kept separate from other data (so it is not used to train further language models). Through retrieval augmented generation (RAG) and other specialized algorithms and functions, the Amagno CECM also achieves a high level of accuracy in responses.
“Imagine a world of work in which a digital tool frees employees from the search for content and information from the company and gives them time to use their talents for real productivity,” says Jens Büscher. “This is exactly what we are achieving with the first intuitive, dialog-based Amagno Conversational Enterprise Content Management.“
